Meet Daniel Silverstein, the founder of zerowasteDaniel Fashion label.

Daniel Siverstein is a Zero waste fashion designer pioneer based in New York city.

Daniel believe all resources ( Materials, People, Energy, Time and imagination) are valuable. He is the founder of ZerowasteDaniel fashion label which is the first fashion company making 100% zero waste clothes.

In 2017 his story and brand went viral with more than 20 million views worldwide on features in NOW THIS, INSIDER, MASHABLE, BUZZFEED and MADE BY GOOGLE sharing his mission to end waste in the fashion industry one scrap at a time.

daniel first gained the attention of both buyers and shoppers across america on season 2 of the nbc reality competition, FASHION STAR, in 2013.

from there, celebrities including jennifer hudson, kristen bell and amber valletta were seen at red carpet events and on magazine covers in his couture zero waste designs.

in 2016, daniel embarked on a new journey with the creation of zero waste daniel, a line of genderless basics fabricated completely from pre-consumer waste from new york’s garment industry in a transparent brooklyn storefront factory where each produced piece diverts roughly one pound of textile waste from landfill.

in december of 2018, zero waste daniel partnered with google pixelbook to relaunch the zwd brooklyn make / shop as a retail and interactive space designed to bring sustainability and tech together. the activation included daily live-making , educational in-store events, and a curated collection of upcycled goods selected as giftable solutions to real world problems.

now in its 4th year, zero waste daniel has transformed literal tons of scrap material into a growing business. he aims to continue to grow the business and bring this philosophy to other collaborators to make waste a thing of the past
